How to get a Library Card

To obtain an MCPL library card, please bring a photo ID and a piece of mail showing your current address. 

Library cards are free to all residents and property owners in Montgomery City.

Cards are available for $25.00 a year for those living outside the city limits of Montgomery City (ie. Danville, New Florence, Mineola, Bellflower, Jonesburg, High Hill, Buell, etc.).  

Children shall be at least 5 years of age to have a library card.  A parental signature is required.  Parents/Guardians must also complete a Minor Consent form for each child (age 17 and younger).  Parents/Guardians are responsible for the library materials checked out by their children.
