Attendance: President Theo Tate, Vice President Mark Clements, Secretary Angel Davis, Treasurer Jenny Cox, Library Director Gaylee Harris, Members Jamie Bukovac, Pat Garrett, Kellee Gentry, and Cassie Hasekamp. Tiffany Singer joined virtually.
The Montgomery City Public Library Board of Trustees Executive Session was called to order at 7:00 p.m., February 11 by President Theo Tate. The agenda was presented. The consent agenda was approved.
Gaylee Harris presented the Library Director’s report. The staff will be participating in CPR and First Aid training. The library is looking into software to lock circulating laptops that have not been returned. Game night has been cancelled.
Adding a signature line to your Gmail was covered in board training.
There were no communications from Board Members.
Pat Garrett gave an update from the Friends of the Library. They are looking for more people to help with the Friends. Ideas for more volunteers were discussed.
Pat Garrett presented the Kitchen Renovation Committee Report. The committee has looked at costs for the project and spoke with a contractor.
Angel Davis presented the 100th Anniversary Committee report and outline of events for next year.
The By-Laws and Policy Committee moved to amend Policy 4.2 and 4.15 to the presented changes. The motion was seconded and passed.
The By-Laws and Policy Committee moved the addition of the Circulation Policy as presented. The motion was seconded and passed.
The By-Laws and Policy Committee moved the addition of the Electronic Devices Policy as presented. The motion was seconded and passed.
The Grant Committee will be rescheduling their committee meeting.
In Unfinished Business, Staff First Aid and CPR training was discussed in the Library Director’s Report.
In New Business, the April Board Meeting will be moved to Thursday, April 16, 2026. Theo Tate reported Kalin Dempsey of Kalin Dempsey Designs is willing to create the 100th Anniversary Logo. Gaylee Harris presented the Community Survey Results. The Board discussed the responses and comments on the Community Survey.
There were no Patron Comments.
Pat Garrett moved to adjourn into Executive Session pursuant to Section 610.021 (1)(2)(3) of the Revised Statutes of Missouri pertaining to legal action, personnel, or real estate at 8:10 p.m.
Jenny Cox moved to adjourn the executive session. The executive session was adjourned at 8:19 p.m.
